A Zune contributor by day, I'm also an avid hiker, biker, and father of three, I also work doing industry analysis and strategy. In previous lives, I've been a backcountry ski patroller, worked on the Windows Media Player, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Team Manager 97, been a researcher in Cognitive Neuroscience, a grad student, and a kid.

No idea; no news so it must have been a normal fire. it appears to have been behind the capital dome by a few miles so up in the NE of the Mall.

I think so.
We at Zune-Online.com have some evidence that this fire was set up by iPod users burning their devices. Some eyewitnesses say they went mad when they learned the new Zune will be Wifi enabled. But some Apple employees unofficially stated this was just a beta testing of the new Burn-iPod ;)
