A Zune contributor by day, I'm also an avid hiker, biker, and father of three, I also work doing industry analysis and strategy. In previous lives, I've been a backcountry ski patroller, worked on the Windows Media Player, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Team Manager 97, been a researcher in Cognitive Neuroscience, a grad student, and a kid.

What do you think of the Virgin music store closure? It seems that yet another Microsoft PlayForSure partner is going down the tubes. Does this negatively reflect on Microsoft's efforts and technology? Shouldn't Zune be the first to the rescue and offer Virgin customers a way to convert their tracks to Zune without losing their previous investment? Thanks

I'm new to your blog but a have been a Zune owner for awhile now. Overall I love it but was always anticipating something better. You guys delivered. There's just one little thing I so desperately need so as not to be forced into looking elsewhere...audible support...please tell me you guys are pursuing this vigorously. Anyway I was compelled to comment on this post as I use to run the charter/water taxi boats for the Lodge on Isle Royale and was wondering if that's where you went. Maybe the Porkies? Also a spectacular place. Anyways, nice job on Zune 2 and throw in a plug for audible, eh?!
