This summer...

  • Lots of work.
  • Really really crappy northwest summer. Stopped raining late, never really got our 2 months of sunshine, never really got warm. No global warming here... ;)
  • Home landscaping gardening/lawn madness. It's supposed to get dry and stunt growth here, and instead it kept watering the damned plants.
  • Really really exciting (in the negative way) family health care issue. All is ok now.
  • First time trip to Disneyland!
  • New BMW 335xi!
  • Family vacation in Bend, Oregon!
  • Lots of cycling (but never enough). Half century ride on the tour de peaks in Snoqualmie
  • Dogfood, dogfood, dogfood.
  • Blown rear shock on my mountain bike ;(
  • iPhone! iPods! Fatties!
  • Urge/Rhapsody deal! Continued collapse of the standalone services!
  • SPOT Watch!

Stay tuned for thoughts on many of these.

Hey, I thought this was Zuneinsider? Where is zune info? I must tell you since you are an insider, that in Nov of 2006 i shelled out money for a Zune, a year later and not much is improved about it. I see thes Ipods come out that leap over the Zune as far as functionality etc. Whats up there Zuneinsider?

I think my next MP3 player will be an iPod , i have been resisting but...take a look hard to resist when you compare!!

Nice to see Spot watch on that list. Makes me hopeful for some MSN Direct type stuff on the Zune.

Welcome back!
So, will you post your thoughts on the new gen of iPods? Love to hear what you think about Apple's priorities in terms of features. One thing in particular that SJ said about not being able to use Wifi hotspots unless you have a browser...
Also, like to hear what you think is behind the NBC/iTunes spat.

Good to see you again!
Glad things are getting back to normal in your household, and also very excited to see that you may tackle some zune related issues with the rest of your (very fickle) Marketing/Engineering feedback team here... (and a few spies/reporters).

I too am hopeful we'll see MSN Direct type services on Zune. I would like to see that included in a Zune Pass subscription. In addition, I'd like to see you offer a Internet Wifi service plan that lets us get connected to AT&T and T-Mobile hotspots. That would be crazy cool with the right set of wifi features.
