only 2 plays, huh. awesome. you're really rockin' out all the time.
i'm joking, of course. my card has shown 44 plays since right after i signed up, and it still shows it. i'm guessing this will get worked out soon.
you should tell us what it was you did in cognitive neuroscience some time. i, at least, would be interested. i'm ABD working at tulane in philosophy, and phil of mind, especially cognitive neuroscience, is what i do.
i see that both our total play counts have updated. i also know that an update has already been released for the software to resolve the kind of problem i experienced where, upon installing the new software, my entire library was mangled, requiring me to delete hard to find files. that's a lot of work for just a few days. way to go, zune team. the work is appreciated.
Does the ZuneCard display all the music you've played (from the device and software), or just from the software?
It seems to me that the "most played artists" feature grabs data from the playcount, which comes from device and software, but the "last 5 played songs" comes just from the software. Is this correct?
the zune card displays results based on BOTH software and device playback. It's a good example of the coordinated end to end experience that we can provide by owning software, hardware, and service.
A Zune contributor by day, I'm also an avid hiker, biker, and father of three, I also work doing industry analysis and strategy.
In previous lives, I've been a backcountry ski patroller, worked on the Windows Media Player, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Team Manager 97, been a researcher in Cognitive Neuroscience, a grad student, and a kid.
