Equipment: Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD Head Unit Pioneer CD-BTB200 Bluetooth Module Pioneer GEX-P12HD HD Radio Module Axxess ASWC Steering-Wheel Control Unit (Alpine SPR-13S in Front) (Alpine SPR-13C in Rear) (Apline Type-S 12″ Sub) Overview: Removed the factory stereo due to lack of sound high quality, but I did not want to give up some of the characteristics it had, which incorporated Bluetooth, steering-wheel controls, USB input, and auxiliary input. I last but not least settled on the Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD due to the rear-input USB (the place most other models are front-input), rear auxiliary input, and touch display controls. From there I additional the CD-BTB200 Bluetooth module for Bluetooth, and the Axxess ASWC for steering-wheel controls. Also, I had the HD Radio module from a prior Pioneer head unit that I reused with the P4300DVD. I am presently in the procedure of finishing my Zune dock modification / integration. Set up: I removed the auxiliary panel from the Tucson and disassembled it. From there I straight wired the USB extension cable that came with the head unit onto the USB auxiliary port in the panel, and I straight wired a headphone extension cable onto the auxiliary input on the panel. This made it effortless to lengthen the ports on the back of the P4300DVD down to the stock input panel. From there, I put in the Axxess ASWC (amazingly simple three-wire install) for steering-wheel controls, and I assembled a relay system to bypass the parking-brake sensor (in order to effectively perform with the Zune dock

We’ve all been in that place the place we vaguely remember seeing an item close to the residence but can not precisely pinpoint its location. When you need to have that item, use the created in search to quickly and easily remind oneself the place you left it. Refinder also features the capacity to add equivalent objects quickly without having obtaining to retype the info. For illustration, if you’re organising your garments in the wardrobe, basically enter that information when. The dock is a Zune HD AV Dock that I modified to fit into a cutout in the panel. The power for the dock comes from a 12v to 5v USB adapter, and the audio / video is hooked into the input on the stereo.

    how did you make the dock for the zune
    I am planning to do it too
    BTW AWESOME INSTALL

    The top trim piece above the stereo has to be removed first. It’s a pain in the fingers to get off, and you’ll need a trim removal tool or tape-wrapped butter knife. Start at the rear left or right corner (closest to the windshield) and pry up.

    There are a total of four clips holding it in, along with a lip at the front where the trim piece meets the stereo. It’ll feel like you’re going to break something, but it will eventually come out.

    How did you remove the original radio? I’m trying to connect some subwoofers and can’t find any information on how to get to the back of the stereo

  • JaredC87 says:

    I would, but I don’t have the vehicle anymore… As for the dock, it’s for a Zune, not an iPod, but an iPod dock would be similar (though not necessary since the stereo can already interface with an iPod).

    can you repost a video again that is not dark, thanks. i cant see your ipod dock module.

    I don’t have any pictures of it, however if you sign up for a HMA Service account you can get the pinout for the module. Basically I just took it out of the mouting bracket, took it apart, and soldered connections to the proper location for both USB and aux input.

    Steering wheel controls have zero lag, and the only complaint I have is that the Pioneer deck uses up and down for switching stations, which is mapped by default as the Answer and Hang-Up buttons.

    Mate do you have any pictures of the usb/aux input and how you made it compatible? also how do the steering controls work? no lag i mean? I also have a hyundai and i’m thinking of going with the same set-up. only dont want to lose my steering controls!

    @redeyegoblin

    It goes dim enough that I can barely see it unless it’s pitch black outside. Should be dim enough for you I would think.

  • Visesh Lall says:

    Hey, love the deck, was wondering though for night use, how dim does the display go?? I want to put one of these in my car but i hate bright lights … so was just wondering thanks..
