Jade Computer Catalog, 1989 (ish)

A couple of years ago I unpacked a box in the garage and found a catalog from the Jade Computer store, which presumably was in Indianapolis in about 1989-90. Many cool pages, but a few special ones are shown below. Note the MS DOS packages, the Mouse from the Dawn of Time, the awesome lightning fast modems (remember modems?), the Math Coprocessors (remember those?) and the Intel Above Board - designed to work around the 640k memory limit on most PCs.

The first Windows Media Player

Remember Windows 3.0? Remember It's awesome multimedia capabilities? Ok, not so much. But about this time, the First Adlib and Sound Blaster cards came to market. So in November, 1991, Microsoft released Windows 3.0 with Multimedia Extensions.

Computer history

Hey, it occurs to me that I've got the largest archive ever of computer history bitmaps. I will start putting up a selection of my archive for folks to see with some commentary.

State of the art 1950's portable audio technology

This is awesome.

Let's start some rumors - it's the new Zune retro speaker dock.
As an aside, just found this blog. Really fun from a history geek standpoint.
