I am a local DJ and bought my 250GB Archos 5 hoping to use it for backing up my song library in case I have an emergency at a wedding/party, etc…
My issue is that I don’t have it droid enabled and that limits how to store and easily access my songs. I need to search my songs by keyword, title or by artist. I would be hugely appreciative if you could help me convert to droid, or maybe a better/newer OS. I don’t care if it’s made by Archos themselves. Thankyou SO much! ROB in NY

I have a Macbook Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6.7).
I’ve had a Windows partition used with Parallells. It was slow, somewhat cumbersome and time consuming to switch to and use, and kept crashing, plus Parallell used so much CPU that the fan went crazy. Eventually I got fed up and uninstalled both.
After seeing this tip I purchased Crossover for Mac (40 dollars very well spent I think) but would never have gotten it to work without this fantastically instructive video.

.iso’s are usually entire Operating Systems. This video is solely for single applications. If you would like to install the actual Windows OS, you need to check out either VMWare Fusion, or Parallels Desktop (I have a review and a tutorial for installing OS’s on my channel).
