  • RepairsUniverse says:

    @lunarman07 You can find them at RepairsUniverse (dot) com in the Zune replacement parts section.

  • lunarman07 says:

    where did u get the battery and wat is its number or Id, i cant find it anywhere, gimme a site or store or watever cuz i need one

  • RepairsUniverse says:

    @mightyme87 Yes, the 80GB requires some simply soldering. You will not loose you music etc. This is all stored on the hard drive.

  • mightyme87 says:

    I think I have a 2nd generation 80gb, and I have been told that I will need a soldering iron to replace my battery. Is this true? Also, will I loose all of my music if I replace the battery. Thanks for the sight it is very helpful. :)

  • Gonzys1 says:

    Muy bueno , solo si se pudiera apreciar desde una mirada de arriba en el momento de extraer la bateria seria estupendo. Mil gracias.

    My zune Got water inside of it and i took it apart and dried as much as i could and let it dry over night too, so when i put it back together, still didnt work i think the water might have got into the battery so when i plugged it in the next day it started to click (Zune). Any ideas on how i might be able to fix it? if it did get into the battery can i get the battery from my 80 gb and put it into the 30gb?

  • peeweejaida says:

    i need to know how to replace the battery for the 120gb, how do i do that?

  • RepairsUniverse says:

    @kitlerc Great. Glad we could help.

    Got by replacement 30Gb Zune battery from you guys back in December. I didn’t replace my original Zune battery until just now. Much to my surprise, the zune immediately had power, from a battery that has been sitting in a warehouse for god knows how long, and in my room for 6 months. Thanks guys! This vid helped a lot as well!

  • Thewaterofthepool says:

    @grod805 yay for Zune HD! but I just recently got my zune, I’ve had it for like 4 months, and I don’t think my parents are willing to buy me another one XD

    But now my problem is that the Zune Software won’t open, uninstall or reinstall so buying another Zune would be such a waste of money T_T

  • grod805 says:

    @Thewaterofthepool

    Yes, mine has just been two years since i got it. suddenly it only lasts like two hours. I’ve taken really good care of it so I’d much rather replace the battery than buy a new one. Although the Zune HD would be sweet.

    @kleahy003
    I guess you didn’t notice that the zune in the video is a 30 gb. Totally your fault.

  • RepairsUniverse says:

    @graceaaronathotmail Great. Glad we could help!

  • graceaaronathotmail says:

    I just wanted to say thanks. We tried for 30 min to get the cover off and we checked out your download and discovered 2 hidden screws had to come out. Thankyou so much because if it wasn’t for you, we would have never gotten the cover off !!!!

  • kleahy003 says:

    @ThatIzzyGirl
    bought the battery for the 80 gig…comes with bare wires. must be soldered. video is a bunch of crap…case was almost impossible to open. video shows it opening so simple …buyer be!!!!!!!ware

  • brandon5pennies says:

    what about 8 gig zunes? mine will not work without being plugged in but works fine being plugged in so i know it’s battery related

  • ThatIzzyGirl says:

    Hi RepairsUniverse,
    I want to replace the battery of my Zune 120gb, does it require any soldering, or simply opening it up and clicking it in place?
    Thanks.

  • Thewaterofthepool says:

    I got my zune from a friend, and I’m pretty sure it’s not 3 years old but the battery won’t last much… barely an hour and it’s starting to annoy me =(

  • Timewarpe says:

    I found one on amazon for about 20 bucks that came with the tools and everything. Works perfectly.

  • orangespeechbubble says:

    at the store or online?

  • RepairsUniverse says:

    The batteries are so cheap we would recommend replacing. They are only $14.99 on the RepairsUniverse (dot) com web site for a high capacity replacement.
