This looks way better than the iPod and android versions I have.

In my opinion the WP7 app> iPhone app> android app.

Oh well at least I can still watch Netflix on my droid x and iPod.

Top Free Games for WP7: Rotate and Roll

Easy to Play – Difficult to Master – Impossible to Put down

Your objective in this fun physics game is to rotate your way through 20 challenging levels. To complete a level, roll your ball guy to the raindrop. Pay attention, as some levels require you to first collect a star in order to activate the exit point. Use the finger on the screen and move it in the desired direction
to rotate the level around. Have fun!

Yes, but the point is not ‘how much data you are moving’ it’s ‘what is moving your data’, and in this case it is Silverlight. Silverlight is made and used by Microsoft and Netflix already has their code ready to be directly ported (in short) to any phone supporting Silverlight.

  • Yourtravelboy says:

Yes the whole world waited in anticipation for flash to come to mobile devices. It took a while too and there are still a long way to go imo. Maybe they need to consider a different format for mobile devices or better, just create a sister company that would use a compatible format for Android. Since it’s mobile they don’t need to offer the same BIG screen HD and HD Audio. Smaller screens = smaller amount of data needed. This could work.

  • green4strings says:

Yeah, sure, completely revamp your entire infrastructure just so you can make an Android app while having to now remake all your other APIs hooked into (Xbox, PS3, iPhone, iPad, Wii, and multiple set top boxes, etc) to correspond with your new infrastructure… yeah. Just be patient and wait. You waited for Flash in 2.2 right?

  • Yourtravelboy says:

So true. Guess it’s time for them to change whatever they need to change in order to expand their viewer base. With over 200,000 new Android activations everyday, I think it would be a great market to get in :)

  • green4strings says:

I never said that the videos wouldn’t work, but the fact that Netflix’s programers are already well versed in Silverlight means that it will be natural to just scale it down to a mobile app for the platform that will support Silverlight.

  • James Hughes says:

    android still the best

  • Yourtravelboy says:

You and I both know that an android app will work no matter what video format you use to stream and it will do very well and it’s an in demand feature that a mass majority of your subscribers want. Please make it happen and fast, thanks :)

  • green4strings says:

well, netflix is based on microsoft’s silverlight, makes sense as WP7 runs silverlight. we’ll see about that android app though.

  • Yourtravelboy says:

You’re showing of this app for a phone that’s not even out yet? Where the heck is the Android app? The world is waiting ;)

  • lolflakes says:

Whats very cool about this is how it integrates with the Zune’s “Music and Video” Hub so its not just Netflix, but Zune movies and TV, Youtube, etc.
