Zune HD 16GB Black Hands-On Release Night 09/15/09 UPDATED
Approx. 3:00 AM CST, Zune software updated, firmware v4.1 installed, a few songs & video have been synced. Video shows music playback capabilities, new ‘pins’ functionality (used within shortcuts sidebar to the left), wireless internet (brief; internet connection was very slow tonight), and awesome screen lock & background screensaver features… Once again, I don’t have video on apps yet as the Zune Marketplace is still down… will post another video about apps and such accordingly…

And intel i3 w/ win7 is simply not enough info… if your computer is fairly new, it shouldn’t have a problem running the Zune software. But to make sure, can you provide more details of your computer?
A Zune HD out of the box requires you to connect it to your computer and install the latest firmware, which comes with the Zune software. You must have an active internet connection on your computer to download and install the Zune software.
What do you mean by stronger than itouches? If you mean physically, I don’t see a big difference, as both screens will be multi-touch support glass, and the Zune HD has an aluminum backing to it, which is prone to dents if you drop it.

- you can’t view youtube videos as of yet.. flash is not supported by the Zune HD, but hopefully will be in the future.. i have a good feeling Microsoft will eventually post up support for it. You can go to the website, and see a limited scale of the full thing.. btw, yes, the Zune HD has apps for Facebook, Twitter, etc., etc.
of course! when u get any hardware device, whether it be an mp3 player, smartphone, laptop, etc., the manufacturer provides free firmware updates online 99% of the time.. in this case, microsoft provides it through the Zune software..

you must enable the feature within ‘Settings’ from the main menu… then, whenever your Zune HD goes idle for a period of time, or you simply suspend the Zune HD by pressing the power button, the screen will lock!

actually, id go with the zune HD over the ipod touch, if you want something more, id suggest the iphone…
I want it hand held though, either way I got a zune hd now. I like it. If you want something more then a mp3 and hd radio then get the ipod touch.

yeah man, i love that! its definitely louder. but i think they made it so sound can be adjusted more sensitively, because i used to keep the sound level on the older zune around 5 when im sleeping, and 13 when im walking around campus. now its more like 11 when im sleeping and 25 when im in my car and 21 when im walking around campus…

Tabs innovation? is not there inovation, it’s something that they been missing in IE that other browsers had for quite some time. Not to mention IE8 is a made like heavy stone for HTML5+CSS3 transition process since it not supporting even 10% off it where other browsers in that time was implementing it like wild and IE users are notaries to not update there browsers. Even with IE9 that is actually huge improvement it’s still behind Webkit(Chrome and Safari)+Firefox+Opera trio
