That means that if you have 256 kbps MP3s and you want to fit more music onto your Zune, you can change the Zune software to convert your music to 128 kbps WMA files (or another quality level). @levenste001 in terms of storing large volumes of music, itunes and ipods cant be beat.. they simply have it down… ive used the zune music app… made me hate life.
seems very unorganized… why would it just spit out all the playlists on top of each other…

This is so cool! I’d love this for my Living Room when I get an Aprartment. Image sitting around and just sharing photo’s with Camera’s and Phones, and then sending Playlists over by it? Endless Possibilities. The Ability with my Mate and I to sit down and Share his Beatles collection and my Rolling Stone Collection is so awesome!
Once this goes commercial, and trust me, it’ll get cheaper too, I’m definitely getting one.
you know whats funny is how everyone is saying this is expensive but if apple made it this would probably cost double. lol you got to pay the extra 150 dollars on a ipod just becuase it has a gay little apple on the back.

You know a computer is a personal choice, some like Macs and some PCs. I can’t stand Macs myself, I hate the way they work and they feel so cheap but that’s just my opinion. People act as if they actually built the things themselves! It’s not like we’re getting the money that Mac or Microsoft is making. LOL

yeah i can do it on my pc but the songs dont go from zune to pc, thats different
you can get songs into the zune wirelessly with any computer conected to a wireless lan, it is one of zunes capabilities, and it works today with any pc with wifi, not only with microdoft surface

This still amazes me every time I see it. The speed at which it recognizes and transfers information between the player is astounding. The thing it can do with putting your credit card on it, specifying a tip, and paying for your meal at a restaurant is also amazing.
Imagine 20 years from now (or less!) when things like these are commonplace. What wonderful times we have ahead.

If your iTunes library is full of non-DRM’d AAC files (or MP3s), then yes, you can play them all on your Zune. If they’re protected by Apple’s DRM, then no, they won’t play on your Zune. You can upgrade your tracks to be DRM-free if you pay a per-track fee…

I had an ipod but it busted and im now left with my library. Im getting a zune hd in a couple of days, is there anyway for my itunes to get on my zune. Is it possible ?

Just leave it at the default and it won’t convert anything.

I notice that this setting is set to 96kbps source, and 192kbps device quality by default. If I don’t want to do anything, should I leave it at that setting, or choose the “only convert formats not supported option”?
how do i set it up on the internet i cant figure it out and i suck with computers?
u can use any free song downloading software eg Limewire. just save the songs downloaded and then make a music profile then copy past then add the song to your zune. PS though the zune is good but the ipod is WAAYY better in my opinion
Yes, it’s similar to iTunes – only much easier and more flexible in my opinion.

I’m thinking about getting a Zune with the Christmas money I’m getting.
But I’m unsure about getting music and video onto the Zune.
Is the procedure similar to iTunes?When you download the song or video,will it immediately go to the Zune software and then you just drag it to the Zune?
Or is it more complicated?

You need to use the Zune software to load the Zune. You can get your music any way you want.

how do i get rid of the “reserved space” all i did was put the reserved space in 0 % but when i click on to device it says ” reserved space and content from other computers (if any) 1.02gb ” and i still had putthe reserved space in 0 % and i want tht reserved space off and idk how to get rid of it i just acummulating the space and i want to put more songs but the space is not letting me even if i put 0 % PLSS HELP! how come when i download a song and open it with zune and i Click” sync with zune “it says “added 1 song” at the bottom but when i check my zune the song isnt there??????????????????????
The Zune isn’t the dumb part of this scenario – it’s not compatible with Windows Media Player. You need to install the Zune software just like that little sticker on it told you to do…

Do a Google search for Zune YouTube videos and you’ll find your answer.

You’d have to delete the Zune partnership (“Forget this Zune”) in the settings on the desktop software.

Audio settings? What audio settings? You add music to it by installing the Zune desktop software, connecting the Zune, then dragging and dropping the music to it.

Say your zune is connected as a guest. I know you can change it.. so I’m not sure what it’s called..but it’s the opposite of guest.. then there’s sync groups. Is there a way for you to change it back to a guest? Cause I’m not sure if I like sync groups so much.
ok can u answer my question please ok all of a sudden mu zune started to say “missing or cant be played ” ok and i dont knoe what to do because i cant put any of my music in it and then i though y dont u take a song form my zune and take it out and then put it back in ok i did that and it still saids missing or can be played do u think u can help me get some music in it do u have an idea becuase cds i dont have a burner so i cant do that and the only thing i can put in it is pics can anyone help
